A new role for Hanna
Hanna added the longest ever title to her credentials: 2022-23 she’ll be the Non-North American Vice President of the Society for the Study of Evolution. Quite a mouthful!

Sabbatical visitor!
Christopher Wheat has just arrived. Although we can only do everything virtually at the moment, he will spend the next few months with us during his sabbatical in Zurich. Welcome Chris!

Our journal clubs are normally on Zoom but now we had a special visitor – Piret Avila explaining her current work, fun to chat about future plans too!
Another Kokkonuts outing
Outdoor activities are not completely banned during social distancing time so the Kokkonuts had (very responsibly) fun on the water! What a nice day.
‘Teaching of the Hour’ Award
Our teaching this spring went all remote, really abruptly too, but perhaps it was not a complete disaster – the undergrads nominated us for a teaching award, nice!
